The D2D outreach and dissemination project consists of the following subprojects: - 'Learning' : organising and taking part in meetings and events - 'Supporting CSO's': develop and implement services in evidence based lobbying and advocacy - 'National WASH portals': support governments in creating online WASH portals - 'Open data standards': promote open data sharing - 'Communication, outreach and media': work with our partners to promote knowledge sharing and learning
In 2017 we plan the following activities per subproject:
The focus of this subproject will lie on our participation in the Stockholm World Water 2017. Furthermore, throughout the year, relevant events where Akvo can provide added value will be selected. For 2017, no global team-week is planned.
Supporting CSO's - evidence
The goal of this subproject is to further develop and implement Akvo's services in evidence-based lobbying and advocacy. In 2017 we aim to select one or two datasets which can be used by our partner(s) for exemplary data-based lobbying and advocacy. Together with our partner(s) we will prepare (clean, analyse, visualise) these datasets in such a way they can be optimally used for lobbying and advocacy.
National WASH portals - development
In 2017 we aim to set up a WASH demo portal and to start supporting one national government in the development of an online WASH portal.
Open data standards
In 2017 we will focus this subproject on three activities: - the improvement of the level of 'open source' of Akvo's software - the compliance of Akvo with the new EU regulation on data protection: GDPR - study the applicability of the DHIS2 health database to the WASH sector
